Establish the Residency Act

In The House of Representatives of the Republic of Andorn
May 19th of 2025

Speaker Maxterpiece and Representative Aladeen in agreeance with this bills contents, hereby recommend this bill to the House for their consideration with the assistance of the Vice President The_Donuticus.​

Section 1 - Short Title:

(1) This bill may be cited as the “Residency Act of 2025 “
(2) This bill does not come into effect until the formal launch of the City of Avondale


Section 2 - Residence Establishment:

(1) In order for a space to be considered a residence it must exist in its own zoned region, independent of any other Residence.
(2) A residence must consist of a floorspace equaling more that 100 square meters (100 blocks) though this space be split across multiple rooms, space taken up by walls does not count.
(3) A residence should be a self enclosed space with walls, a floor, and a ceiling.
(4) Each residence can only have one, or in the case of marriage: two, officially registered occupant(s).


Section 3 - Residence Registration:
(1) The Government, with the following responsibilities delegated by the Head of Government to a Department of their choosing, will maintain a list of all registered residents and their residences.
(2) The Government will provide an easy to access path for citizens to register their residence, and also inform the Government of a change of residence.
(3) The Government will perform regular audits to ensure that citizens are still in residence at the residences they have claimed, especially in the lead up to an election when all residences should be audited.


Section 4 - Residency Rights:
(1) The following will only be granted to individuals who have an official residence,
(i) The ability to vote in elections.
(ii) The ability to work in a Government Job.
(iii) The ability to run a business.
(iv) The ability to access government programs, except programs specifically designed for the homeless & poor.


By submitting this bill to the House of Representatives, I hereby swear it is in good faith and in the best interest of the nation, the people I serve and my oath of office.

1.) While the spirit of the bill is there, this bill contradicts the constitution and fails to amend it.
